DuPont Teonex® PEN film
Teonex® PEN films (polyethylene naphthalate) are a specially developed range of films from DuPont, designed for special situations
where the film will be subject to especially stringent conditions such as extreme heat or harsh chemicals, or for those applications where exceptional
barrier performance is required.Teonex films® bridge the gap between polyester (PET) and polyimide films by delivering excellent performance and cost effectiveness when used in electronics, labels and lamination applications.

Indigo film
HiFi can supply a range of coated films for HP Indigo digital printers.
The special coating is water based, anti static, has infinite shelf life and can be used for a variety of graphics applications. Please contact us to discuss using Indigo film in your application.
BOPP
Biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) is a tough plastic film used for a variety of applications. It has a high tensile strength, high gloss and clarity and has good puncture and flex-crack resistance over a wide range of temperatures. It also provides a good barrier to water vapour and is resistant to oils and greases. BOPP is not affected by moisture and does not wrinkle or shrink with environmental changes.
Applications for BOPP include packaging, printing, lamination, tapes and labels. It can also be metallised.
Please contact us for more information about BOPP.
Stabilised polyester
The heat stabilisation process gives polyester film improved dimensional stability at high temperatures, which
is important for electronic components and printed circuits eg. membrane touch switch (MTS).Standard polyster films can give problems due to the differential shrinkage of the substrate at higher temperatures. Heat stabilised polyester films typically shrink less than 0.1% in both MD and TD at 150°C, compared to non-stabilised polyester films which can shrink as much as 3%.

Polycarbonate
Polycarbonate is a versatile, tough plastic used for a variety of applications, from bulletproof windows to compact disks.
The main advantage of polycarbonate is unbeatable strength combined with light weight - only one-sixth as heavy as glass.
Polycarbonate is naturally transparent, with the ability to transmit light nearly that of glass. It has high strength, toughness, heat resistance, excellent dimensional and color stability. Flame retardants can be added to polycarbonate without significant loss of properties.
Applications for polycarbonate include bulletproof windows, automotive instrument panels and displays, control panels, nameplates, labels, dials and electronics.
Polycarbonate is recyclable and environmentally preferable to PVC in applications for which either material can be used.
