HiFi offers the complete range of Mylar® sealable polyester films manufactured by DuPont Teijin Films that are suitable for use in all packaging applications.
We supply heat-sealable films with either peelable or permanent seal for use in ready meal lidding, sandwich packs, fresh produce and flow wrapping. These films provide sealing compatibility with all container substrates and give outstanding performance on the shelf, in the freezer and in the oven.
HiFi is an authorised distributor of DuPont Teijin Films packaging films and is certified to the BRC/IoP technical standard for supplying packaging materials to the food industry.

Mylar® 850 is a clear, one side heatsealable film, which provides strong, permanent weld seals.
It can be heat-sealed to APET, CPET, PETG, PVC and other polar substrates and has excellent 'seal
through contamination' and hot tack properties. Uses include dual-ovenable ready meals, pasturising, flow wrapping and high seal security and tamper evident applications. Performs well in highly contaminated seal environments. Available thicknesses: 15, 20 and 30 microns. |

| Mylar® 850AF |
Same as Mylar® 850 but with anti-fog coating. Typical applications are the same as 850, but where hot or cold anti-fog properties are required. The intrinsic barrier of this film can be used with non-barrier trays and gas flushed ready meal applications. Available thicknesses: 15, 20 and 30 microns. |

As Mylar® 850 but with improved slip on the heatseal surface for improved handleability. Recommended for metallised heat sealable applications, flash metallising for microwave applications and bag making. Available thicknesses: 15, 20 and 30 microns. |

Mylar® 853 is the same as 850 but with an adhesion promoting pre-treatment on the non-heatseal surface. Used in similar applications to 850 but where high quality print is required. Available thicknesses: 15, 20 and 30 microns. |

Mylar® is a clear, one-side heat sealable, self venting, easy peel film.
Provides peelable seals to APET, CPET, PETG, PVC and other polar substrates and seals well through contamination. OL is ideal for use as a lidding film for dual ovenable ready meals. It is also widely used in flow wrap and lidding of fresh produce where excellent clarity is required. Also available as OLT with corona treatment on the non-heatseal side to aid printing and lamination. Available thicknesses: 14, 21, 25 and 38 microns. |

Mylar® OL2 is similar to OL but with a thicker heatseal layer giving stronger seals and firmer peel properties. Used in similar applications to OL but with stronger seals providing improved 'seal through contamination' and seal security. Also available as OL2T with corona treatment on the non-heatseal side to aid printing and lamination. Available thicknesses: 15, 22, 26 and 39 microns. |

| Mylar® OLAF |
Mylar® OLAF has the same sealing capabilities as OL2 but with anti-fog properties built into the heatseal layer. The AF layer minimises
fogging during freezing, chilling and cooking and also improve clarity when 'breathable' products such as fresh vegetables are packed. Used in the same applications as OL2 but with the benefits of anti-fog. Also available as OLAFT with corona treatment on the non-heatseal side to aid printing and lamination. Available in thicknesses of 15, 22, 26 and 39 microns. |

| Mylar® OL3 |
Mylar® OL3 is similar to OL2 but with a thicker heatseal layer to provide stronger peelable seals. Can be used as a monofilm or as part of a laminate in dual ovenable lidding applications where stronger seals are required. The thicker heatseal layer ensures improved seal integrity for rough substrates. Also available as OL3T with corona treatment on the non-heatseal side to aid printing and lamination. Available thicknesses: 28 microns. |

| Mylar® OL12 |
Mylar® OL12 is a one-side heat sealable film with an alternative polyester heat seal chemistry to OL.
It provides very strong seals to APET, CPET, PETG, PVC and other polar substrates,
giving peelable seals when warm but permanent seals when cold. Mylar® OL12 may be used with smooth wall aluminium trays subject to trial and approval. Applications include dual ovenable ready meals where increased security or tamper evidence is required, or for more heavily contaminated sealing environments. It is often used in pasturisation applications. Also available with anti-fog as OL12AF or with corona treatment as OL12T. Available thicknesses: 17, 28 and 41 microns. |

| Mylar® OL13 |
Mylar® OL13 is similar to OL12 but with a thicker heatseal layer designed to work with rough or porous surfaces such as pulpboard trays.
Shows improved performance when sealing to aluminium trays. Can be used as a lidding film for dual ovenable applications or for fresh produce in pulp trays. Also available with anti-fog as OL13AF or with corona treatment as OL13T. Available thicknesses: 20, 31 and 44 microns. |

Mylar® RL42 is a clear, one-side heat sealable film with an EVA based heat-sealable coating which provides peelable seals for
a wide range of polar and non-polar substrates e.g. PP, PS, PE, APET, CPET and PVC. It has a lower seal initiation temperature than RL52. Uses include lidding for PP trays and many other substrates, sandwich lidding and microwave applications. Also available with anti-fog as RL42AF. Available thicknesses: 19, 31 and 43 microns. |

Mylar® RL52 is a clear, one-side heat sealable film with an EVA based heat-sealable coating which provides an exceptionally smooth peel.
It can be sealed to a wide range of polar and non-polar substrates e.g. PS, PE, APET, CPET, PVC and PP. Uses include frozen and refrigerated applications where a more robust seal is required. Also available with anti-fog as RL52AF. Available thicknesses: 19, 31 and 43 microns. |
